Beaver
Island is the most remote of the inhabited islands in
the Great Lakes. Its location makes it a prime area for scuba diving,
snorkeling, and vacationing. The water surrounding the island contains
shipwrecks and other underwater scenery.
Normal water
visibility can range anywhere from 20 - 40 feet. The best months
for diving are June through September. Water temperatures vary during
the summer months and wet suits are recommended.
